John J. Connolly, Jr.,   Retired FBI Agent

FORMER FBI AGENT WRONGFULLY CONVICTED

Former FBI Agent John J. Connolly, Jr. - a highly decorated agent - is currently serving a 10-year sentence based largely on the testimony of four convicted murderers and an admitted perjurer. Since his May, 2002, conviction his lawyers have uncovered conclusive evidence -- contained in FBI reports, Congressional testimony, depositions, and other government documents -- of numerous instances of perjury that make it clear John did not receive a fair trial. Based on this new evidence John has petitioned the court for a new trial.

This website provides scanned, unaltered copies of those government documents. Please look at the evidence, and join with us in our quest for justice for John, beginning with a new trial.

Explosive FBI Report Proves Witness Lied!

FBI REPORTS PROVE MAIN MAFIA WITNESS AGAINST CONNOLLY LIED

SALEMME: PROSECUTORS COACHED MY FALSE TESTIMONY

The key prosecution witness against John Connolly admitted to an FBI informant that he fabricated his testimony at Connolly's trial at the insistence of federal prosecutors, who threatened he would "die in prison" if he did not give evidence against Connolly.

New England Mob Boss Frances Salemme also told fellow federal inmate - and FBI Confidential Source - Roger Vella, Jr., that prosecutors actively coached him to give false testimony, while promising him immunity from prosecution for various crimes including murder.

In direct contradiction to federal evidence used to convict John Connolly at his trial, a former US Attorney
has since admitted that he knew James "Whitey" Bulger and Stephen Flemmi were murderers, knew they were FBI informants, and that he personally intervened to
stop their indictments in the Winter Hill Race-Fixing case even though he knew they were guilty.
At Connolly's trial the government argued the exact opposite.

FLORIDA INDICTMENT

On May 4, 2005, John Connolly, Jr. was indicted in Miami Dade County, Florida, for conspiracy to murder John Callahan. This indictment had been previously filed under seal. WHY WAS IT ANNOUNCED THE DAY AFTER JOHN CONNOLLY FILED HIS MOTION FOR A NEW TRIAL BASED ON STARTLING NEW EVIDENCE OF PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT? Prosecutors announced the murder indictment at a major press conference in Florida. However, the public was not told that Assistant U.S. Atty Wyshak had the indictment sealed for some time previously. Was the murder indictment (for a crime for which John had already been acquitted) designed to distract attention from those prosecutorial misdeeds, and the overwhelming evidence of perjury in his trial? Was it designed to also overwhelm John's legal team before prosecutors were further embarrassed? If so, prosecutors achieved both goals. Read the evidence. Judge for yourself.
